Marsden Point Mean Level of the Sea

The mean level of the sea (MLOS) is the response of the ocean to large scale meteorological effects such as the annual cycle, El Nino/Southern Oscillation (ENSO), Interdecadal Pacific Oscillation and long-term sea-level rise. MLOS is calculated from a sea level record by removing the tide and low-pass filtering to remove oscillations with periods less than 2 weeks.
